Sunday Shout-Out: Are You on Pinterest Yet?

If you are, you’ve probably already encountered the fabulous ideas there.  You’ve probably also encountered just how very much time can be wasted on this fabulous resource.

If you aren’t, you probably just haven’t figured out just what it’s all about.  It took me awhile, but now I use it for recipes, DIY inspiration, gift ideas, and quotes to remind me what’s important.  Oh, and specific ideas about how to help my son.

One of my favorite bloggers, Karen, from The Art of Doing Stuff, just did a recent post explaining what it’s all about here.  If you’ve never been to her site, please check it out.  You will never laugh so hard, I promise.

Anyway, my real shout-out is aimed at a couple of pinners you should follow, because they have collected some really helpful resources for families with special needs.  Once you have a pinterest account, you can “follow” them, choose which “boards” interest you, and have access to all of their “pins”, or really great ideas they’ve found on the internet.

Terri TxTerriSweeps – love her pink ‘stache! (several special needs related boards)

Debi Taylor – who also has a fantastic blog, The Spirit of Autism (one special needs related board, but lots of other cool ones!)

Cindy Golden – an amazing number of boards, and an amazing collection of resources

These are a few to get you started.  You can always search pinterest for pins on special needs, or autism, or CP, or anything else you want to look up, as well!
